NANIO CCVE is the only organization in Russia and in the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union accepted in the IECEx (International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) System for certification to standards relating to equipment for  use in explosive atmospheres (IECEx System)  both as  a Certification Body (ExCB) and a Testing Laboratory (ExTL). Based on this acceptance NANIO CCVE  has the right to issue the IECEx Certificates of Conformity and Test Reports  recognized in the countries participating in the IECEx System for the purpose of issue of ATEX certificates. (Certification in the IECEx System)

NANIO CCVE cooperates with the leading certification centers accepted in the IECEx System and carries out conformity assessment for the issue of ATEX certificates.

The aim of the Directive:

This Directive was adopted by the European Union (EU) in order to facilitate international trade through the harmonization in the member states of technical and legal requirements to the equipment intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.

This Directive applies to equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres caused by flammable gases, vapours or dust. The Directive covers both electrical and non-electrical equipment.

The Directive sets up harmonized requirements and determines the conformity assessment procedures for equipment intended for use in explosive atmospheres.

Application of the Directive:

As a result of conformity assessment the manufacturer draws up a declaration of conformity and affixes the CE marking to the products.

In accordance with the requirements of  Directive АТЕХ all equipment and protective systems must be marked legibly and indelibly with  the  following minimum particulars:

- name and address of the manufacturer,

- CE marking,

- designation of series or type,

- serial number, if any,

- year of construction,

- the specific marking of explosion protection followed by the symbol of the equipment group and category,

- for equipment-group II, the letter 'G' (concerning explosive atmospheres caused by gases, vapours or mists),

and/or the letter 'D' (concerning explosive atmospheres caused by dust).
